Who will be ranked #1 in 2012-13? Will Ladd be #1 or will he be usurped?

Despite the ongoing CBA negotiations between the NHL and the NHLPA as well as my dabbling into NFL Fantasy Football after two years hiatus, I am more than looking forward to the second annual Jets All Out Top 25 player rankings this season.

Last year, I ranked the top 25 players in the entire Winnipeg Jets system and the list came out something like this:

#25 - Paul Postma
#24 - Carl Klingberg
#23 - Tim Stapleton
#22 - Jason Jaffray
#21 - Randy Jones
#20 - Ben Maxwell
#19 - Patrice Cormier
#18 - Tanner Glass
#17 - Chris Thorburn
#16 - Jim Slater
#15 - Mark Stuart
#14 - Zach Bogosian
#13 - Alexander Burmistrov
#12 - Johnny Oduya
#11 - Chris Mason
#10 - Ron Hainsey
#9 - Eric Fehr
#8 - Nikolai Antropov
#7 - Blake Wheeler
#6 - Bryan Little
#5 - Tobias Enstrom
#4 - Ondrej Pavelec
#3 - Evander Kane
#2 - Dustin Byfuglien
#1 - Andrew Ladd

The beauty of year-to-year lists is that both the fans and the writers get to see how their lists progress from one year to the next.

And I assure you that, thankfully, Eric Fehr will not be in the top 10 for sure this time around as well as a little bit of a different lineup in the top 10 and top 5 to be certain.

Six players from the list above are no longer with the Jets (Stapleton, Glass, Mason, Jones, Fehr, Oduya) and there are a few new faces to add to the list (Jokinen, Ponikarovsky, Montoya) as well as the late-to-the-party Kyle Wellwood.

Pick number 25 comes out September 8th.
